THE HORROR CHANNEL GIVES BEHIND THE MASK 5 OUT OF 5 MUGS OF BLOOD!!!
Tuesday, April 11th, 2006“At no time while watching was I thinking Behind the Mask was a low budget, indie film. Director Scott Glosserman delivers stellar production quality as we shift from the shaky hand-held to chase Leslie around, into a single position for interviews, and into still another POV as Leslie takes us into the horror film he is unfolding.”
“Behind the Mask stands out as a spectacular thinking man’s horror film, capable of playing to an art house crowd and diehard horror fans sitting side by side.”
“If Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon isn’t picked up for big screen distribution, I’d consider it a crime. Here’s hoping there is a way for you to see this film — and soon. Those who have recently said a “horror comedy” won’t sell have never met Leslie Vernon!”

TheMovieBoy Reviews BEHIND THE MASK!
Monday, April 10th, 2006“An ingenious modern take on the slasher genre…”
“One of those rare indie horror efforts that deserves to see a wide theatrical release with a major distributor…”
“Big fun that mixes well its comic aspirations with gritty, down-and-dirty suspense, “Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon” doesn’t just document the title madman’s trek toward gruesome infamy, but also the introduction of an original and invigorating new filmmaking talent in Scott Glosserman.”

I saw Behind the Mask three times at SxSW and by the third and final viewing was surprised to discover that I’d like to see it yet AGAIN. I can’t wait for a wide release. This is a film tailor-made for horror junkies- the treasure trove of easter eggs and inside jokes is like a Cracker Jacks prize for fans of the genre. I love Leslie and his gazelle-like mobility! Thanks so much for one of the smartest, funniest scary movies I’ve ever seen.
